TARGET AUDIENCE
This program has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians who have a specialized interest in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, the attendee can expect to be able to:

• Discuss the place of the USPSTF in the history of evidence-based medicine and the role of institutional arrangements in the interpretation of evidence.
• Evaluate breast cancer screening guidelines to better educate the shared decision-making process between provider and patient.
• Review pharmacologic treatment options for adenomyosis in patients with infertility.
• Discuss how certain biases, beliefs, and attitudes about cultural differences impact the achievement of equitable patient care and physician patient dynamics.
• Discuss strategies to dismantle bias in achieving diversity in higher education, health care and society.
• Determine ways to enhance leadership skills within the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
• Evaluate the management of complex gynecologic conditions.
• Assess the trends in surgical training and potential impact on the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
• Review minimally invasive surgical techniques for the management of gynecologic procedures.
• Identify appropriate staging protocol to provide optimal care to patients with endometrial cancer.
• Evaluate the management of potentially complicated obstetric events.
• Recognize ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic may have affected obstetric care as it pertains to recommended influenza and Tdap vaccinations during pregnancy.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.5 Category 1 College Cognate Credits. The College has a reciprocity agreement with the AMA that allows AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ to be equivalent to College Cognate Credits.

CRITERIA FOR SUCCESS
Statements of credit will be awarded based on the participant's attendance and submission of the activity evaluation form. A statement of credit will be issued within 4-6 weeks of participant’s completion of an online evaluation/claimed credit form at www.saaog.org/cme.
